The University began working toward continuing accreditation by organizing committees during fall 2013. A campus-wide forum during the spring semester 2008. Our written assurance argument will be completed by spring 2016 and our comprehensive site visit is scheduled for March 21-22, 2016. For a complete overview, see the Timeline web page.

The University’s re-accreditation effort is guided by a steering committee that consists of administration, faculty, staff and student representation.

Five Criterion Committees, with faculty, staff, students, and administrators, are exploring the five areas specified by the HLC. Their specific charges may be found on Criterion Committee web pages.

Data Team

In order to avoid duplication of effort and to establish an efficient means of collecting data, the steering committee chose to organize a separate Data Team which will advise the Criterion Committees, search for requested evidence, and serve as a clearing house for data requests. The Data Team consists of a variety of staff who have access to key data. For more details, see the Data Team web page.

Community Outreach

Because it is crucial to involve the entire campus, as well as the broader community, in the re-accreditation process and also to ensure that everyone is aware of the important role our mission plays, a Community Outreach Team was formed to oversee HLC activities for a variety of constituents, general awareness of the comprehensive visit, and to sharpen our perception of the mission of the university. For more details, see the Community Outreach web page.

Master Data Site

The Master Data Site will provide links to important data used throughout the assurance argument. This site will be built gradually as the development of the assurance argument proceeds, and will provide easy access, for the first time on a common page, to many important data sets used throughout the university.
