Marian University to host “Neoliberalism in the Americas: Impacts, Lessons, and Responses”

FOND DU LAC, Wis. -Marian University's Social Justice Committee will be sponsoring a free event for the community titled "Neoliberalism in the Americas: Impacts, Lessons, and Responses" on August 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Stayer Center.

The event discuss such topics as human rights and social justice in North, South and Central America and the Caribbean, the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO) and Pastors for Peace. These topics will covered through a panel discussion lead by Olive Lewinski Albanese, a candidate for the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba. Members of the panel include: John Peck, professor of economics at MATC, Madison; Jill Stiemsa, professor of sociology at MPTC; and Armando Ibarra, professor of Chicano and Latino studies at UW Madison.
