Marian University names Gray as April Faculty Sabre of the Month

FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University has named James Gray, assistant professor and Sport and Recreation Management program director, as its April Faculty Sabre of the month.

Gray says that the best aspect of his job is the simple joy of teaching and working with enthusiastic students, and is thankful that his work has been recognized.

“It is an honor to be recognized by one’s peers,” Gray says.

The Sabre of the Month Employee Recognition Program honors faculty and staff who exemplify the Marian University core values – community, learning, service, social justice and spiritual traditions.

Dorcas Chapel was built in 1966 and named for the seamstress Dorcas who shared her talents with Saint Paul. The chapel was designed to look like a sewing basket with the cross on top portraying a needle (Source: Marian University Archives).
