FOND DU LAC, Wis. -The Wisconsin Academic Advising Association (WACADA) has named Lisa McArthur, academic advisor at Marian University, the recipient of the 2012 Advising Profession Impact Award.
The recipient of the Advising Profession Impact Award has five or fewer years of experience in advising and has made a significant impact in their department, on campus or in the field of advising. The award is intended to recognize those who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the profession of academic advising.
McArthur has been in an advising role for two of her eight years at Marian. She currently serves as program coordinator and academic advisor for the criminal justice program in the School of Business and Public Safety.
McArthur received the award at the 2012 WACADA conference held inLa Crosse.
