Marian University’s Institute for Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has announced the launch of the university’s first ever peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Homeland Security Education (JHSE).
The JHSE will be published three times per year. With a focus on research, editorials, book reviews, symposia, tested practitioner experiences and other related research, the online-only journal will publish the best work of some of the most knowledgeable homeland security educators in the country.
The JHSE offers a platform for discussing relevant education-related issues from the associate to the doctoral degree level, and all submitted articles are peer-reviewed to ensure the integrity of published works meets the high standards of those involved. An advisory board comprised of leaders in homeland security education across the United States has been integral in the development of this new publication. This includes faculty from Colorado Technical University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the Naval Post Graduate School, National University and Utah Valley University and the Naval Postgraduate School.
