The Program
Through the information technology program, you’ll take courses that address the information skills, business core concepts and interpersonal abilities needed to meet this increasing demand for information systems professionals. The program prepares students to use highly valued technology skills in order to help organizations solve problems and increase efficiency, especially through hands-on internship experiences in a variety of settings. In addition, students choose one of two areas of emphasis: applied technology or applied business.

As part of the information technology program, you’ll apply knowledge gained in class to solving real-world problems through creativity, critical thinking and communication skills. You’ll enhance your résumé through internships and cooperative work experiences that combine your academic theory and practice with on-the-job applications.

The Results
As a graduate of the information technology program, you’ll be able to create, apply and use information technology in a variety of settings, including education, government, health care, industry, manufacturing, transportation and business at all levels. You’ll find positions in areas such as computerized information systems design, content design and management, database development, facilities management, project team leadership, systems administration and analysis and user support.
