The Program
Through the human resources program, you’ll engage in a variety of courses that integrate real business challenges with curriculum focused on helping you lead people, teams and organizations. Marian’s human resources program prepares you to serve the business industry in developing the leadership skills of organizations, working with people and solving both qualitative and quantitative problems.

The Possibilities
As part of the human resources program, you will take part in Marian’s strong liberal arts foundation and challenging business core curriculum to learn principles of leadership, human resources, applicable federal and state laws, decision making, teamwork, communication, benefits, compensation, safety and policy. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in Marian’s Business Club and the Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Graduates of the human resources program are able to serve individuals and organizations as competent professionals with experience in all aspects of business, including management, marketing, accounting, economics, personnel, finance and law. Through quality internship experiences, your hands-on experience will enhance your résumé and establish relationships with numerous organizations, which often lead to professional employment opportunities.

International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE)

Marian University has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Lenexa, Kansas. The business programs in the following degrees are accredited by the IACBE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Health Care Administration, Management, Marketing, Sport & Recreation Management.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) with major in Information Technology.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with majors in General Management, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management.
  • Master of Science (MS) with concentration in Organizational Leadership.
