Upward Bound Math and Science

The TRiO - Upward Bound Math and Science Program (UBMS) at Marian University is a part of the federally funded TRiO programs, whose purpose is to educate potential first generation college students and/or low income high school students in relation to graduation from high school, transition to college, and the pursuit of postsecondary degrees in mathematics and science. This purpose aligns with the teaching mission of Marian University and fosters relationship with the local and global community. UBMS is designed to serve 60 students from Fond du Lac High School and Horace Mann High School of North Fond du Lac. The UBMS initiative is part of the University's strategic commitment to prepare and train students for professions that rely on strong foundations in science, math and computer technology.

This program is funded by an annual $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
