The School of Mathematics and Natural Science (MNS) is committed to the unending quest for wider knowledge of and deeper insight into the world through biological, natural, and physical science as well as mathematical studies. Unique offerings such as ecological trips provide additional opportunities. Students will have practical internship, clinical, or research experiences in their area of study, expanding upon their classroom knowledge and preparing graduates for entrance into the workforce or for graduate or professional studies.
MNS degrees are granted in five academic areas. The School’s programs provide major and minors in biology, chemistry and mathematics; majors in biology–cytotechnology and radiologic technology; minor programs in, environmental science and natural science; and additional courses in physical science. MNS also offers, in conjunction with the School of Education; teaching majors and minors in biology, broad field science, chemistry, environmental science and mathematics. With the School of Criminal Justice, MNS offers a major in forensic science. Pre-professional programs are also available, including pre-dental, pre-medical, pre-occupational therapy, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary, pre-physical therapy, pre-physician assistant, pre-podiatry, and pre-veterinary.
