Criminal Justice Camp
High school juniors and seniors!
It's not too early to start thinking about this year's camp! The dates are:

Marian’s Criminal Justice Summer Camp offers adventure and experiential learning to those
who have an interest incrime fighting and prevention. Students will participate in activities focused
on a variety of activities to include eye-witness testimony, crime scene investigation, simulated teen
court and a demonstration by a K-9 Unit. Camp activities are varied from year-to-year The camp
includes presentations by professionals, ranging from the U.S. Marshals Service, probation and parole,
law enforcement, forensic science, and homeland security.
All campers who complete the Marian Criminal Justice Summer Camp receive a $1000/year scholarship if
they enroll at Marian University as an undergraduate student.

Campers have come from all over Wisconsin, Illinois and even Iowa and Missouri!

Campers ge to know one another through several team building exercises that were lead by Lt. Andy Gill, Marian University instructor and Fond du Lac Police Officer.

Campers continue to complete team building exercises.

Campers listen to an overview from the Fond du Lac County Juvenile Court Services and learn how Teen Court is conducted and what types of juvenile offenders are referred to Teen Court.
|
Campers selected to serve on a mock jury carefully consider testimony from the defendent. Jurors later returned a verdict and recommendation of retribution to be served by the defendent.
