Military Science (ROTC)
Why choose the Military Science (Army ROTC) program?
Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is a program that combines university courses in military science with summer training sessions to turn students into military officers, all in addition to completion of an academic major at Marian. Participating in Army ROTC is an invaluable investment into one’s leadership ability. Upon successful completion of the program, cadets have the opportunity to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, the Army National Guard, or the Army Reserve. Participation in the Army ROTC program requires application with the Army recruiter.
Why make it Marian?
Through Marian’s Army ROTC program, students will develop strong leadership and communication skills. Graduates are prepared for careers in the civilian market as well as military occupations. Marian’s Army ROTC program provides a foundation of skills for students eager to deal with problems, planning and tasks associated with everyday decisions. Scholarship opportunities, covering all or most of your university tuition, are available through Army ROTC and are merit-based. Furthermore, each scholarship student will also receive an allowance ranging from $350 per month to $500 per month.
