The University:
Founded as Marian College in 1936 by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, Marian University is a coeducational, Catholic college providing a values-based applied liberal arts education.

These core values are Community, Learning, Service, Social Justice, and Spiritual Traditions.

Students:
Marian students come from 14 states and 13 countries. Our current enrollment of more than 3,000 students includes 1,400 traditional day students. Marian also offers adult accelerated evening/weekend undergraduate programs and nationally recognized graduate programs on campus and at outreach locations in Wisconsin, including locations in Appleton, Watertown, Wausau, West Allis, and West Bend.

Athletics:
NCAA Division III intercollegiate competition includes men’s baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, hockey, soccer and tennis, and women’s basketball, cross country, golf, hockey, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball.

Location: 
Our 104-acre campus is in a residential area of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, about an hour from Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay. Fond du Lac, first on the lake, is a safe vibrant city of 42,000 residents situated on the southernmost point of Lake Winnebago.

Financial aid and scholarships: 
More than 90 percent of Marian students receive some form of financial assistance. Aid is available through scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs. 

Hands-on learning: 
Cooperative education programs let you integrate classroom theory with practical work experience. Depending on your major, you can receive on-the-job experiences as early as your sophomore year. 

Class sizes: 
The average Marian class size is 15 students, and our student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1.

Careers and graduate schools: 
With more than 95 percent of them participating in on-the-job learning and research experiences, Marian students graduate well-prepared for admission to rigorous graduate and professional programs across the nation or to begin exciting careers in their fields.

Study Abroad: 
Marian’s Study Abroad program provides students the opportunity to study in more than 15 countries around the world — including Australia, England, Japan, Mexico, and Italy, to name a few. Choose from academic year and semester-long programs, summer programs from two to eight weeks, short-term language study programs, or intership and work abroad programs.
