NAC announces All-NAC Team

The Northern Athletics Conference has announced the conference's women's golf awards for the 2009 fall season. The 10-member All-Northern Athletics Conference team is based on performances at NAC sanctioned events, including the 2009 NAC Women's Golf Championship.

Leading the All-NAC team was Concordia University Wisconsin's Muriel McIntyre (British Columbia, Canada/Werner Academy), who also received the NAC Player of the Year award for the second straight season. The sophomore leads the conference with an 81.7 per round average this fall season and had lows of 75 and 76 at the Benedictine University Invitational in late September. McIntyre's Falcon team also won their first NAC title yesterday at Glen Erin G.C. in Janesville, Wis., in addition to her second consecutive medalist honor at the championship. More

 

Women's Golf (October 5, 2009)
Sabres finish in fifth at NAC Championship
(Janesville, WI) -
Marian University concluded the golf season on Monday at the Northern Athletics Conference Championship at Glen Erin Golf Course. The Sabres finished fifth at the event with a team score of 826 (425-401). Concordia University-Wisconsin won the NAC Championship with a two-day total of 735 (380-355), while Edgewood College finished second with a 758 (386-372).

Concordia-Wisconsin's Muriel McIntyre won the individual title with a score of 166 (80-86). Edgewood's Amanda Bliske shot a 175 to finish in second.

Marian's Sara Falk (Berlin, WI) finished in ninth place with a 194 (104-90), while Alex DeBoer (Spring Lake Park, MN) finished in tenth with a 195 (101-94).

Sabres place third at own invite

Marian University took third place on Saturday at the Marian University Invitational held at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. Concordia University-Wisconsin took home the team title with a team score of 754. The Sabres came in with a team score of 800 (400-400). The individual medalist honor was taken home by Muriel McIntrye of Concordia University-Wisconsin, as she shot a two-day total of 169 (88-81).

The Sabres were led by Alex DeBoer (Spring Lake Park, MN) as she finished in fifth place with a total score of 173 (84-89). Sara Falk (Berlin, WI) finished in sixth place with a 174 (93-89).

The Sabres will compete in the Northern Athletics Conference Championship on October 4-5. Play will be held at Glen Erin Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.

 

Women's Golf (September 20, 2009)
Sabres take fifth at Benedictine Invitational
(Lisle, IL) -
The Sabres competed in the Benedictine University Inviational on Saturday and Sunday and finished in fifth place. Concordia University-Wisconsin won the team title as they shot a team score of 682. Marian finished with a score of 804.

Concordia-Wisconsin's Muriel McIntyre took home the individual medalist honor as she shot a 151 (76-75).

Sara Falk (Berlin, WI) finished in a tie for fifth place for Marian as she shot a 178 (89-89). Alex DeBoer (Spring Lake Park, MN) finished in seventh place with a score of 179 (91-88).
