Health Care Administration
Why choose Health Care Administration?
The Health Care industry is facing rapid change. Trends include increasing pressure for accountability, increasing costs, changing technology and changing demographics such as an aging population. This is taking place in a multitude of settings including clinics, health insurance organizations, hospitals, nursing homes, and skilled nursing facilities.
There is a growing need for health care professionals to manage the business side of health care in an era of increasing accountability, increasing costs, and rapid change.
The health care administration (HCA) program provides preparation for the entry-level professional in an expanding and increasingly complex health care system. It recognizes the growing need for individuals prepared to administer health care enterprises in a time of change.
Students will combine coursework in HCA with education in a functional area for entry level specialization and competency. Possible functional areas include accounting, general business administration, finance, human resources, information technology, management, marketing, and sport & recreation management.
