Accepted Students

Your Path Begins Here

As a recently accepted student to Marian University, you’ve already proven that your path in life will be an exceptional one. On behalf of our students, faculty, and administration, congratulations on your outstanding achievement.

At Marian, we believe in offering an individualized college experience molded around what you want out of life. And that personal focus starts now. There are a lot of things you’re going to need to stay on top of as you move ahead, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Here are some things you’ll want to be thinking about as an accepted student at Marian:

Student Orientation and Academic Registration (SOAR)

You can choose from a variety of Registration Days, during which you’ll come to campus and meet with an academic advisor, select your classes, meet with current students, and be welcomed into the campus community.

Accuplacer Assessment

Accuplacer is a placement test taken by all incoming students—covering the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics—which we use to ensure proper course placement and foster the academic success of all students.

Advanced Placement Program Equivalencies

Marian University accepts Advanced Placement courses with a required test score of three or better.

Financial Aid

More than 90 percent of Marian students receive some combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and student employment. It’s crucial for you to understand the
application process and deadlines.

Housing

Your residence hall is more than a place to hang your hat. Whether you live in Naber Hall, Marian Townhouse Village, or the Courtyards, it will be where you form lifelong friendships and create lasting memories.

First Year Experience & New Student Orientation

The First Year Experience begins with our New Student Orientation Program that takes place every August and January, and offers a range of exciting activities designed to introduce you and your family to the Marian community and assist with your transition to college.

Throughout your first year at Marian, the First Year Experience will provide you with additional activities, classes and seminars, student mentors, and other programs designed to empower you to make the most of your first academic year with focus areas including Leadership & Personal Development, Academic Success, and Wellness.
