Marian University to host “Border Lives, Border Deaths” presentation

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University's Social Justice Committee will be hosting the "Border Lives, Border Deaths: The Deadly Politics of Exclusion" presentation on Wednesday, November 6 from 12:20 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. in the Administration Building, room 100.

Shane Boeder, Ph.D., will be the keynote speaker for the event. Boeder will draw on stories gained during her experiences working at the border in May 2013, where individuals and families shared stories about the risk of death, excessive militarization and mass trials in United States courtrooms in the borderlands.
