Schraeder Named as May Sabre of the Month

May 10, 2012

FOND DU LAC, Wis. —Marian University has named support specialist Leah Schraeder as its May Sabre of the Month.

For Schraeder, who has worked as the Support Specialist III in the Registrar’s office for just over two years, adding value to the campus community is intrinsic to the Marian mission.

“The most meaningful part of my position is being able to serve students, faculty and staff with their issues and concerns,” Schraeder says. “I believe in the Marian mission statement and am very blessed to be part of this institution.”

Schraeder was pleasantly surprised by this honor, and maintains that all the good she does on campus is part of a larger group effort.

“Even though I won this award, I feel everything I do is a team effort,” Schraeder says. “Faculty and staff at Marian University care about the students and want them to be successful, and by all working together we can achieve that.”

The Sabre of the Month Employee Recognition Program honors faculty and staff who exemplify the Marian University core values – community, learning, service, social justice and spiritual traditions.
