FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Ashley Zitzelsberger of Menasha, a student at Marian University, was named as one of 40 college students chosen to receive a $1,000 U.S. Bank Scholarship. Zitzelsberger was selected from more than 150,000 students throughout the country who applied to the U.S. Bank Scholarship Program.
"It is an honor for Ashley to earn such a prestigious scholarship," said Katie Hughes, chair of the undergraduate nursing program at Marian University. "It is through Ashley's hard work and dedication toward the nursing field that she has earned this scholarship."
Zitzelsberger is currently a sophomore at Marian University in Fond du Lac. She has participated in a variety of activities including the Marian University Student Nursing Association, National Honor Society and was recognized on the dean's list. Zitzelsberger is pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing.
