Marian University Rad Tech Graduates High Performers on National Test
FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University graduates of the Radiological Technology Program through the Affinity Healthy System recently achieved some of the highest scores in the nation on the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification exam.
The ARRT is one of the world’s largest credentialing organizations, and aims to ensure quality patient care from those pursuing work as radiological technicians. Of the seven graduates who recently completed their program of study with the Affinity Health System, six were Marian students and one is now enrolled in Marian’s accelerated program. The group scored within the top two percent of all test takers in the country, a testament to Marian’s continually evolving healthcare industry programs and partnerships with quality healthcare providers like Affinity.
“The Affinity Health System Program in Radiologic Technology has a long-standing history of quality education, again reflected in the most recent graduating cohort having a 100-percent pass rate on the American Registry Examination of Radiologic Technologists for certification,” Julie A. Luetschwager, Ph.D., RN, Dean of the Marian School of Nursing said. “I am very pleased that we will be adding this excellent program to our portfolio of quality health professions programs at Marian University. Effective July 1, 2012, Marian University will take over sponsorship of the program in radiologic technology.”
