Marian University to offer teacher education certification at Fond du Lac campus

FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University’s School of Education will be offering the graduate level Teacher Education Certification program in Fond du Lac beginning in fall 2011. Marian will be hosting an information session on the certification program on Wednesday, April 20 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Stayer Center room 305.

The Teacher Education Certification program is designed as an alternative pathway to certification for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in another field and now wish to earn a teacher certification. A student who successfully completes the certification program is eligible for the Middle Childhood – Early Adolescence (MC—EA, ages 6 – 13) teaching license from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Currently, this program is being offered at Marian’s outreach sites in Appleton, Wausau and West Allis.
