FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University has named Ashly Garner, coordinator of Career and Graduate School Services, as its May Sabre of the Month.
“I am honored that I was chosen to be Sabre of the Month. Marian’s staff, faculty, and students truly live out the mission every day in so many ways.”
Garner has served the Marian campus as coordinator since January 2010, though served previously as the volunteer AmeriCorps VISTA Service-Learning coordinator since August 2007.
When asked about her role, Garner stated, “The work we do in the Career and Graduate School Services Office is important and fulfilling. We encourage and support students in exploring the abundance of opportunities available to them while they are working toward a degree and after they have obtained their degree from Marian University.”
The University values her dedication toward her work in supporting students as they explore career options and higher educational opportunities available after graduation.
The Sabre of the Month Employee Recognition Program honors faculty and staff who exemplify the Marian University core values – community, learning, service, social justice and spiritual traditions.
