FOND DU LAC, Wis. — In May, students at Marian University participated in “Above the Influence,” a Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County campaign.
Marian students were among over 1,000 other students throughout Fond du Lac County pledging that “anything that makes me less than me is not for me.”
Above the Influence is a national campaign geared at better preparing young people to recognize and stand up to the pressures or influences that keep them down. The campaign presents its audience with another perspective and provides them with the latest facts, without telling them how to live their lives. Pictured are Marian University student mentors who will help incoming freshman live above the influences of drugs, alcohol, peer pressure, bullying and more.
