FOND DU LAC, Wis. — On Wednesday, March 9, representatives of Moraine Park Technical College (Moraine Park) and Marian University signed an articulation agreement in business.The agreement clarifies transfer of credits between the institutions in business disciplines such as accounting, finance, human resources, management, marketing, and operations, and business-related fields such as health care administration, information technology, and sport and recreation management.It covers both day and evening programs.

Representatives present were Dan Ensalaco, vice president of Academics and Student Affairs at Moraine Park; Dr. James Eden, Executive Dean of Instruction at Moraine Park ; Dan Pahlow, dean of the school of business at Moraine Park ; Dr. Steven DiSalvo, president of Marian University; Dr. Edward Ogle, executive vice president of Academic & Student Affairs at Marian University; and Dr. Jeffrey Reed, dean of the School of Business at Marian University.

“We strive to do our best to serve our students. Collaborating with Moraine Park Technical College in this agreement will allow us to provide a seamless transition for their students who wish to continue their education,” said Dr. DiSalvo.

“There is significant value for Marian in collaboration with our sister institutions in Fond du Lac. Making this an educational destination, we serve the community through partnerships such as this one with Moraine Park Technical College,” said Dr. Ed Ogle.

"The articulation agreement between Moraine Park and Marian University is a wonderful opportunity for our students to pursue a four-year business degree," said Dr. Gayle Hytrek, president of Moraine Park. "With this agreement in place, our students can continue receiving a high quality education after completing their associate of applied science degree though Moraine Park. We admire the level of education Marian University provides and look forward to further building this relationship."

"We have always had a strong relationship with Marian University and this new articulation further solidifies our relationship. We look forward to continuing working with them to develop new transfer opportunities for our students" said Dan Ensalaco.

The agreement provides assurances to students from Moraine Park, which is comprised of three campuses in Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac and West Bend, Wis., and regional centers in Hartford and Ripon, Wis., how their records will transfer to Marian. Under the agreement, Marian University will accept up to a maximum of 64 credits in transfer if the student has completed all requirements and received an Associate in Applied Science degree from Moraine Park. Those students will have satisfied all Marian University general education liberal arts core requirements except the basic Theology requirement. Neither individual grades for classes nor GPA will be transferred to Marian, and in certain programs a minimum grade of “C” must be achieved for a particular course to transfer.
