FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University’s “Inspired on the 8’s” food hunt held on October 8 collected over 2,700 non-perishable food items. Teams of students, faculty and staff collected items to be donated to the Broken Break food pantry.

Although founded as a women’s college, Hal F. Hornby, superintendent of Fond du Lac rural schools, was the first male student to attend classes in 1940. He attended art and music classes with his wife (Source: Marian University Archives).
