Marian School of Business recognizes student leaders

FOND DU LAC, Wis. — The Marian University School of Business recognized business student leaders at its annual awards ceremony in the Marian Stayer Center on April 8.

Thirty students were inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, an International Honor Society in Business, Management and Administration. Sigma Beta Delta was established to encourage and recognize scholarship and to promote personal and professional improvement and honorable service in business. Students inducted are: Christine Acker of Oshkosh; Dustin Andrus of Fond du Lac; Alexander Becker of North Fond du Lac; Patricia Birschbach of Fond du Lac; Lane Boswell of Calgary, Canada; Beth Briese of Oshkosh; Kevin Cleary of West Bend; Emily Collier of Fond du Lac; Christopher Croatt of Appleton; Justin De Maa of Waupun; Charles Geurts of Randolph; Amy Goebel of Fond du Lac; Danielle Hull of Waupun; Brett Kadlec of Appleton; Luke Kaspar of Fond du Lac; Corey Keen of Sheboygan; Blanca Lule of Appleton; Laura Machart of Oshkosh; Neal Moegenburg of Plymouth; Stacey Mueller of Hales Corners; Nicole Osgood of Fond du Lac; Alissa Rader of Mayville; Beverly Rudolph of Berlin; Dmitry Sentsov of Lipetsk, Russia; Elan Solvik of Port Townsend, WA; Emily Steffen of West Bend; Kaleena Stoegbauer of Montello; Jennifer Wendt of Appleton; Catherine Wernberg of Dorchester; and Wendy Zabel of Green Bay.

Steve Prestegard, former publisher and editor of Marketplace Magazine, was inducted as an Honorary Member of Sigma Beta Delta.

Each year, the School of Business identifies students who have excelled in their field of study. The following students were recognized: Two students received Outstanding Business Student of the Year awards: Alexander Becker of North Fond du Lac and Nicole Weinert of Hartford; accounting Student of the Year Jennifer Ziegler of Fond du Lac; finance Student of the Year Jamie Dudarenke of Fond du Lac; information technology Student of the Year Michelle Zwicky (Fond du Lac, WI), management Student of the Year Jennifer Christianson of Shiocton; marketing Student of the Year Whitney Schoenbohm of Neenah; and sport & recreation Student of the Year Dustin Andrus of Fond du Lac.

The following students in the Marian Adult Accelerated Program (MAAP) were recognized: Outstanding Business Student of the Year Christopher Croatt of Appleton; operations management Student of the Year Laura Machart of Oshkosh; human resources Student of the Year Jill Millermon of Germantown; management Student of the Year Neal Mogenburg of Plymouth; and marketing Student of the Year Michelle Peebles of Fond du Lac.
