FOND DU LAC, Wis. —Hillary Quella, assistant professor of art at Marian University, will have one of her photographs featured in the Fifth Annual Midwest Juried Exhibition of Photographs in Milwaukee.
Quella’s work will be featured in the exhibition until January 21, 2012. The exhibit will be held at Walkers Point Center for the Arts on 839 S. 5th Street in Milwaukee.
“‘Communication Continuum’ is part of my Anthropology of Spirits series, which concerns mystery and the human soul, advocates for imagination as a path to understanding and are meant to be elusive, as evidence of human spirituality’s infinite complexity,” said Quella.
Quella’s photograph was chosen out of 450 submissions by distinguished juror, Catherine Edelman, of the Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago.
“Given her depth of involvement in the photography world, Catherine Edelman has viewed a great deal of photography and exhibits the most prominent and well known photographers in the industry, so I’m honored and delighted that my work caught her eye. Sharing one’s work with a wider audience is most every photographer’s goal,” said Quella.
Quella holds a Master’s of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the Savanna College of Art and Design. For more information about the exhibit, contact Hillary Quella at visit www.wpca-milwaukee.org.
