Marian University to offer Proposal and Grant Writing Course

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University's Professional, Adult and Continuing Education (PACE) Program is offering a new class, Proposal and Grant Writing, beginning in January 2011.

This course will explore the basics of proposal and grant writing as it applies to program development. Students learn to identify potential funding sources, develop persuasive writing skills, and make realistic budget projections, in addition to examining how outside funding can affect the direction of a program. Students will also gain experience with outcomes and
assessment strategies.

The course will be offered in a hybrid format over the course of a seven-week period. The course will run from January 4 to February 15, 2011 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.
