Marian University names Tre Waldren as executive director of development

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University has named Tre Waldren as the executive director of development in anticipation of the hiring of Marian's 14th President.

As the Executive Director of Development, Waldren will assist in increasing philanthropic funds for programs and student scholarships available at Marian University. Waldren has been a fund development professional and non-profit executive for more than 20 years having worked for organizations including the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Wisconsin 4-H Foundation and Aurora Health Foundation. Waldren most recently served as the Executive Director of the Community Health Network(CHN) Foundation.

Waldren received his Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from Boston College, in addition to earning his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 1992 and has re-qualified every three years to maintain his certification.

Waldren currently lives in Elkhart Lake with his wife, Cathy, and two Cocker Spaniels, Spencer and Harley. They also have three daughters - Kelly, Stephanie and Alexandria.
