FOND DU LAC, Wis.- Marian College has hired Angela Birschbach as the Business Administration Division's internship coordinator and academic advisor.
Birschbach, a native of Fond du Lac, worked in the insurance industry for nine years, and most recently served as student services coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac.
"Having had the opportunity to experience a Catholic education in Fond du Lac throughout my elementary and high school years, I am especially excited to be here at Marian and to be able to assist the students enrolled in the Business program," says Birschbach. "I know the value of a Catholic education and the positive impact it has on all aspects of life. It is a great feeling to be a part of the Marian community."
As the internship coordinator, Birschbach also looks forward to"helping students secure internship sites in the community or beyond, as well as building and maintaining new relationships with local businesses here in Fond du Lac."
Marian's Business Administration Division offers programs committed to the education of the whole person for careers in business leadership. Program objectives are to prepare men and women to actively participate in society and culture, and to respond intelligently, creatively, and humanely to the dynamic demands of the business environment. Emphasis is placed upon career orientation within the context of an applied liberal arts background. The Business Administration Division offers majors in General Business, Management, Marketing, Economics and Finance,Accounting, Information Technology, and Sport and Recreation Management.
