Inspiring the leadership skills of today's businesses, a degree in Human Resources from Marian University prepares you to serve the business industry in developing the leadership skills of organizations, working with people, and solving both qualitative and quantitative problems. Human resource specialists require the knowledge and skills for leading people, teams and organizations. Graduates of Marian's program are able to serve individuals and organizations, as competent professionals with experience in all aspects of business, including management, marketing, accounting, economics, personnel, finance and law.

Marian's strong liberal arts foundation, coupled with a challenging business core curriculum, leads graduates of the Human Resources major to be familiar with principles of leadership, human resources, applicable federal and state laws, decision making, teamwork, communication, benefits, compensation, safety, and policy.

Students in Marian's HR program have the opportunity to participate in the Business Association and the Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. These pre-professional organizations build skills and provide networking opportunities with future employers.

 

Marian University has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Olathe, Kansas. The business programs in the following degrees are accredited by the IACBE:

  • Bachelor's Degrees. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Health Care Administration, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, Sport and Recreation Management; Bachelor of Science with a major in Information Technology; Bachelor of Business Administration with majors in General Management, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Operations Management.
  • Master Degree. Master of Science in Leadership with concentration in Organizational Leadership and Quality.
