Andrew Manion(1)Welcome to Marian University!

In 1936, an intrepid community of religious women identified a need in the Fond du Lac region for well-educated teachers to serve the growing population in the area. These women, the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, responded to this need by founding Marian College, in 1936, and in so doing opened the doors of education to a generation of new learners. More than 80 years later, Marian University has grown dramatically in size and composition, but continues to live this authentic passion to educate and commitment to quality, innovation, and personalized support.

The commitment to our students remains at the center of the Marian tradition. At Marian, we are dedicated to living our mission and serving each student who seeks a liberating education that is rooted in the Catholic faith. We are a community of learners who understand that each member-student, faculty, staff-is an individual with distinct needs and interests. We are dedicated to offering personalized attention and support, both in the classroom and through a variety of student services to help students reach their academic, career, and personal goals here at Marian and beyond.

Whether you are a high school student making college plans, a current college student hoping to find the best place for you to finish your bachelor's degree, a working adult planning to complete your college degree, or a person with an undergraduate degree looking for a graduate program that best aligns with your professional objectives, I am confident that you will find Marian University as exciting and enriching a place as I do. This is a place that inspires ideas, values diversity, and prepares students for leadership and success.

Much has changed at Marian University since the Sisters of Saint Agnes founded the college all those decades ago, but one aspect that is stronger than ever is our commitment to our students. You will find among the many pages of our website our dedication to providing a quality educational experience. I trust that once you get to know us and the opportunities available to you here, you will be inspired to join our community of learners and become part of our legacy.
